I own a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer. The right headlight keeps blowing out. I replace this and it lasts about 1-2 weeks and then blows again. What could be the problem? Is this a problem with this model?

Could be a couple of things.

One, for some reason that light is getting an over voltage thats making it burn out. (more than the normal voltage)

Two, could be that the whole light is not mounted very solid, in the brackets, and is shaking, excessively when you drive, therefore, causing the element in the bulb to shatter.

When you install the new type Halogon bulbs, do not tough them with your fingers. The oil on you fingers will cause the bulb to get hotter in that area, the bulb will buldge out and blow. This same rule applies to projector bulbs also. The next one that blows, look at it. Is the element broken? Is the bulb glass buldged out? Good Luck. Pops

This problem can be caused by a faulty voltage regulator in the altenator and why this bulb only - it may have the shortest amount of wire from the battery to it causing the lowest voltage drop meaning higher voltagr to the bulb

Is the bulb breaking, or in basic terms burning out upfront? If this is breaking 9 out of 10 circumstances there is water getting contained in the housing from someplace. the different difficulty is from the oil on your pores and skin touching the glass part of the bulb once you position in it. keep away from touching the glass part of the bulb each and every time achieveable. in case you do contact it at the same time with your palms carry the bulb by employing this is base then sparkling the glass with rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball to get rid of the oil.

Could simply be a slight tear/cut damage in the wiring, causing a short circuit whenever the damaged wires come into contact with one another - resulting in the bulb getting blown out.

There's a fault in the wiring, most probably an intermittent short circuit. Check the connections to and from the light unit.
