Well, she needs to get smart. First look on the net for an answer. Type in Genital warts and pregnancy. As far as I know as long as there is no active herpes virus going on in the genital area when the baby is born it should not get it but, I believe it can also cause blindness and other things if it is active and not treated. The Dr. needs to know. There is medication being introduced every day for all kinds of conditions. also, they may elect to do a C-section to protect the baby but something needs to be in her record!! Talk to her and get her to do the right thing! God Bless.

look up genital warts on the internet it gives you info about this and the risks to the baby are low. She does however if she wants a healthy pregnancy to go to an obgyn and have her and the baby evaluated.

Warts are a virus .... and your sister NEEDS to go to a DR. to get the info. Look online for her too. Do a search for pregnancy and genital warts.

she will have to have a c-section b/c genital warts can cause blindness in newborns. and it doesnt matter if she is afraid to go and tell a doctor, they will find out at her first appt. because they do a pap smear and take blood. so she should just be honest if she wants a healthy baby.

Well the only effect I have heard of is that if she has a break out when it is time to deliver then they will have to do a c-section. She really really needs to go to a doctor though cause I'm sure thats not all but I'm no dr.

It's the only thing she CAN do. Go see the doctor. It'll be worse if she doesn't. Those kind of infections can travel up and affect the baby. They're certainly not going to disappear on their own. She clearly needs some medical attention.

I believe in these cases they do a ceasarian so the mother doesnt pass it onto the baby during childbirth. She has to tell her doctor about this,so there's no risk to the baby.
