I don't know. My dad was an alcoholic for as long as I can remember. Then when I was 20, he quit drinking altogether. A year later he died from colon cancer - never smoked a day in his life. Go figure.

Unless you're hit by a bus, the medical profession will blame it on smoking anyway. My uncle died at 82 years old and the doctor said that smoking in his twenties contributed to the heart attack that killed him. We laughed right out loud.
