When the elected government is a TERRORIST organization, it becomes impossible for free governments to negotiate with them. Israel, the EU, and the US, are all refusing aid until Hamas either steps down or backs off of its goal to eliminate Israel.
Right now, Hamas has no ability to pay its own citizens and they can't pay the Israeli power companies at times. Western governments and Israel refuse to give aid to a terrorist group, so there is no money. The Israeli power company isn't getting paid so they shut off power. Abas, is still president and he is trying to get Hamas to back off a little. The Palestinian people are growing frusterated with Hamas, because they aren't getting paid. On top of that, Palestinians captured and Israeli soldier (like Hezbollah and at the same time) and Israel sent troops into Palestine. Disastorous for Palestine, an inconvienence to Israel.
The bottom line is, is that we can't give aid to terrorist groups regardless of how they came to power. Hamas is not just bad for Israel, it is bad for the Palestinian people as long as it holds its extremist views.
Bush respects the vote, that is why Hamas is still in power, he and the rest of the West don't respect the government they chose and will not help them until there are some changes.

Bush is truly a hypocrite. it fairly is something which won't be able to be disputed. With that stated, i will see why he or each person else might want to merchandise to Hamas preserving skill everywhere at any time. even as Hamas develop into democratically elected and elements humanitarian help to the human beings of Palestine it really is likewise authentic that they have got a lengthy record of distinct suicide bombings and different assaults directed hostile to civilians. Hamas' structure demands the destruction of the State of Israel and its replace with a Palestinian Islamic state contained in the area it fairly is now Israel, the West monetary business organization, and the Gaza Strip... and it really is by employing what ever capacity. i'm not positive that i might want to favor those human beings ruling the country next door to me or next door to considered one of our maximum powerful allies contained in the middle East. So, IMHO, even as Bush is a hypocrite, his objection isn't without income. The very last crew of Anti-Semites to attain skill contained in the might want to created a Holocaust and all started WWII. in basic terms my humble opinion.

Again we see the most ill informed making the loudest noises... How can you be where you are and not be aware of what is taking place in the world today... or for the past half dozen years?
The posted answer to your question has been pretty well taken care of.. the loonies continue to banter but seem to have no knowledge of what is going on in the world.. they just continue to spew out venom, reflecting the level of intelligence we are dealing with.
Terrorists organizations get no funding from western countries... !!!!

First of all, there is no "Palestine". They are not a true democracy. You have to have a legitimate election to have a true democracy. Saddam Hussein received 100% of the vote from Iraqis. Do you think that was a legitimate election?

a state earns respect and the Hamas govt..hell any muslim govt has never earned respect.
Yes they won, and yes that is the way it is. We should accept that, but that does not mean that we deal with a terrorist based govt regardless.
We dont need to pay them - or support them. The people wanted them in power - they got them. You live with your choices you make.

Did Bush say that? I thought the people who write his speeches for him said it. That man doesn't have an original thought of his own in his big fat head.
