question about applying liquid make-up?

when i put on liquid make-up and then rub it in, dryish brown stuff rubs off my skin as i am rubbing in the make-up? does anybody know what this means?

maybe dirt or your dry skin that is shedding

Sounds like you might have dry skin , did you try a moisturizer 1st than wait a couple min. then apply foundation with a face sponge. also use the correct makeup for your skin type.
