I think it's time to let'em go brotha...just let 'em go. Embrace the cd, lord knows I have and the jams are still good.

Let them go. Annoying notices on the 8 track tapes like "due to continuity restraints, please excuse the 3;47 seconds of pausing between tracks 3 and 4". And a song would fade out at the end of a track, then switch and come right back up again in a second. No way.

Dump the 8 tracks. They sucked. They sounded muddy after a few playings, they got tangled into the player, songs switched tracks in mid-song. Oh they were just awful. Regular cassettes were a great improvement, but CDs and MP3's are the way to go today. I remember the 8-track times with fondness, but not the tapes themselves.

Well, they're really cool and all, but I say let 'em go. There's just too much tech stuff out there replacing all the old.
I'll bet they'd bring good $$$ in though, from a collector!

Place them in the vault of history.
They were cool in the late 60's, heck scum bags even stole them from cars back then.
