Reduce oil consumption on an international level.
Pros: Cleaner environment...can actually breathe the air (if you think LA is bad, go to SE Asia), conserve a limited resource
Cons: Society is addicted to petroleum, what effect will a significant drop in oil consumption have on American economy and oil related jobs, cost of new infastructure for alternative fuels

Unless you kill of 90 percet of the world- the useless people, people with critical diseases, unemployeed, basically anyone that isn't a doctor, lawyer or professor.
Our world is already over populated. And with all these diseases, AIDS, unemployment, social wastes of money,- the only REAL way to improve mankind- is to kill it off.
