No, you should leave the UPS on 24x7 - this keeps it charged and ready to go when you need it.

Frankly, I don't turn off the computers I have - but you can if you want to save money on your electric bill.

See any electronic equipment must be switched off from the mains. Even if it is off and you are using a ups the motherboard comsumes some power as you may be able to watch it out that even if pc is shut down your ethernet link will be blinking or the monitor is recieving a signal from the mother board saying that you are getting switch off signal and don't display the no signal screen.
However this applies to motherboard with processor above
2.0 GHzand below it is totally off but yet i prefer you to switch of the ups under any condition as even if very less power is consumed the ups battery is being constantly charged and recharged does decreasing its life

see i thinks you all are confused.
a ups as one input and multiple outputs the output switch should be closed and the input switch should be kept on.

When the UPS' power switch is off, the battery still charges (if it's low), or the battery charge stays in 'trickle' mode. So, the UPS uses electricity even when the main power switch is off.

It's okay to leave the UPS main switch on all the time, but I'm paranoid, so I switch mine off when I'm not using the computer. :)

i personally try to make it a habit to turn mine off just to save power. really its up to you because the ups switch is just a main power feed switch and doesnt really do anything but provide power up to the switch but not after it. so in a nutshell its not bad for your computer to leave it on.

after switching off your pc it is better to switch off the ups because if you donot switch off the current still going to your cpu which is not good.

Normally everyone does that. But it is suggested that the UPS is not disconnected for some time so that the UPS can recharge itself. In case of power breakdown a fully charged UPS will help you much better.

It doesn't have any negative effect on UPS but in case if there are power cut-offs then the thing would supply its current which is bad for it in a long run.
