You don't really have to. Just make yourself lots of wrinkles somehow and get a long white beard and mustache. Warlocks are just very old, not a different color or anything like the Wicked Witch of the West. If you can't do the wrinkles, then paint your face an off-white color, because older people are often pale-looking.

A warlock can be any age not just old. They only portray them old for the fact that that is when the warlock has the most power. I would go with a lighter tone of your skin shade and maybe add a little bit of a darker color to your cheeks( make your face look lean) and a light grey under your eyes( to make you look tired). Make sure to have a staff. Wear your hair messy and have fun with the costume. Maybe darken your eyebrows ( make them look thicker). I hope this helps and have fun!

Warlocks are the male equivalent of witches. They have mysterious powers as witches do. Any colouring of the face would probably be sufficient since, if the warlock has "powers" you may not notice a difference. Makeup though can subtly give the impression of something out of the ordinary. My guess would be to go a little grey or off white...to give the hint of something paranormal.

Don't paint your face a solid color. Do you make up so you look mean and sinister, since warlocks are betrayers. Make your skin pale or gray-ish, then emphasize your eyebrows, darken under your eyes, and emphasize wrinkles on your forehead and under your eyes.

warlocks are betrayers and oath breakers.....of any group. Belong to a bunch of green witchy women? paint your warlock green too.
But if you want people to recognize your costume go for the Warlock of the cheesy 1980's movies.
