The only way to find that out is to investigate the policies of t-mobile. The first step you have to take is to see if t-mobile's servide works with that make and model of phone. Some companies will service compatible phones purchased by ppl using different providers, although there usually is a switching fee charged by the company you are switching to.

i don't think another phone company's system will workk in a phone designed JUST for one other particular companyy

Unfortunately, these companies use different technologies so no, you can't use the same phone when you switch companies. Its ironic that you can port your number, but not your phone, but this is what makes companies different and able to compete w/ each other, their technologies.

no.. verizon uses CDMA technology and tmobile uses GSM.
