Who else thinks that most of the new pokemon for Diamond and Pearl are incredibly ugly and unoriginal?

We've been waiting for this game for 3 years and that's the best they can do, hopefully they're releasing all the ugly ones first so then it is a surprise. I don't want any of them except Perrapu or Pochama or Manifi in my party. Who also agrees that the sprites are worse than the ones made by coronis on www.serebii.net?
Does anyone know when we will get to see all the others?

Most of them are pretty ugly except for the ones you mentioned. I like bonsly and mime jnr also but thats it!!! I think there runnning out of ideas. I have also seen the evolved forms of the new three starter pokemon and the peinguin one is the best. I think we will they the others a month or a few weeks before they release the game on the offcial pokemon website

i had the same thought weeks ago.

there are so many real animals out there that they could have portrayed instead, the way they did with good old rattata.

if you recall, most of the pokémon are designed after actual animals.

i think the problem is that they could easily have looked at more animals and gotten more ideas... but that would have resulted in a LOT more normal types, and they were looking for newer type matchups, like fire/bug and other such things. so they were looking for matchups/dual elementals, and THEN coming up with designs for those animals. because of this, the animals they would make-up were... pretty shoddily done.

you also have to remember, the ones that haven't been shown yet... they will be duplicates of older ones. there HAS to be older ones like wooper and scyther to be traded to emerald/ruby/sapphire/fire/leaf because third gen can't get fourth gen pokémon in trades

i had a nifty idea of having panphy evolve into a wooly mammoth (another ground/ice) while in the region in fourth gen, instead of donphan... but if you wanted a donphan, trade it to a third gen game to level
