It will drain from your nose down the back of your throat, into your mouth. That is just normal. And as long as you used the recommended dose, the amount you swallowed is insignificant, they do account for that, so need to call poison control!!
I was really stuffy this week, no air in and out of nose....took a hot shower, the steam is awesome, loosened things up!!

Your eyes, ears nose and throat are all interconnected. This is why your nose gets stuffy when you cry, your ears feel backed up when you sneeze and why you can taste the nasal spray you put up your nose.
Do not worry about the small amount that you swallowed. If you sprayed it up your nose as directed, then that majority of the medicine got where it needs to be.
Depending on the cause of your stuffy nose, you might be able to clear it by inhaling eucalyptus or (stupid as it sounds) chewing a strong peppermint gum, such as Altiods.
If the stuffy nose is from allergies, these will only be stopgap measures. The only way to keep your nose clear without medication, is to get away from whatever you are allergic to.

You should be just fine.
If you use Afrin, I think it says to only use for 3 days. Do NOT use it for any longer than it says. You'll cause all kind of problems for yourself (overuse causes chronic nasal conjestion)
Non-medicinal way to cure stuffy nose...
You can try a vaporizor with some Vicks in it (never has worked for me).
I've read that Stinging Nettles (health food stores sell it in capsule form) is supposed to work pretty well. I've never tried it personally, so I can not comment if it does or not.
You can get some regular saline nasal spray and use that to loosen up the snot in your nose.
I've been told that the same saline spray with a couple drops of melaleuca plant oil in it is supposed to work wonders. I've never tried that either.
Personally, I opt for Sudafed 12-hour.

I'm not a doctor but I don't think you could have swallowed enough to hurt you. Your nose should be clear by now though isn't it? By the way; Don't use it for more than a couple of days or you can become dependent on it. I talk from experience.

That's fine. You have tubes in the back of your nose that drains into your throat. It's natural. If you can feel it down the back of your throat, it's clearing your nasal passages.
When they say to contact poison control if injested, they mean, if you sliced open the bottle and drank it.
Trust me. I've LIVED on Afrin before.

Using a humidifier with some Vick's vapor rub in it can help clear out your sinuses. The bottle also tells you that if you should swallow it that you should drink water and that you should consult a physician. And if you don have a humidifier you can fill up a sink with hot water put a towel over your head and breath in deeply.

try steam....fill a sink full of hot water and cover your head with a towel and breathe in the steamy air..... it will help your sinuses to drain and make your skin feel good too! Blow out all that gunk and you should be clear for awhile
(by the way, if it is a cold that you're having the congestion from... I've heard that there is something {a natural antibiotic?} in ... ok , let's just say it: SNOT, that will help us overcome that old cold so they were recommending that we put up with the snot and not try to dry it up.... what do you think?)
