I think he should have retired or tried to get traded to another team. The Packers are clearly in need of major rebuilding and Favre is not going to be part of their long term solution. I'm saddened to see this future HOF QB stumbling around with such a bad team to end his career. I think the reason he had so much trouble telling Green Bay whether he was coming back for this season was because he knew just how bad the Packers would be this year. If Favre had sought a trade to some other team that had a better offensive line, he might have had a chance to perform better this season. I hope I'm wrong and Favre can somehow distinguish himself this year with the Packers, but it doesn't look likely this team will win more than 3 games this season to me.

NO, everyone thinks he should but he shouldn't. It's only the first game. Give the guy a break, he doesn't have much of a team to work with. I respect the guy because he did infact stay with the team hes been with for 15 years. He could of left and been on a team where he would of had a better chance at winning but instead he is giving his guys the benefit of the doubt and staying with the guys hes known for so long. He, along with everyone else, just needs to get use to the new team. They will get better. You watch. And He will not retire the end of this year. He will stick around for maybe another 1 or 2. The team needs to shape up. New players, new coach, new everything. Give the guy a chance!

I love Brett Favre, but he should have retired before last year. He's a Hall of Fame QB and he deserves a winning season retirement. Unfortunately, with his o-line, he's isn't getting one. Too bad.

Yeah, it's already too much. Either choose a winning team, or retire peacefully.

Maybe, Maybe not. No Quarterback likes to go out losing, but he can't expect to win with this Green Bay team.
