we alwayz complain about men leavin the toilet seat up, but that's the way they have 2 use the restroom, we use it with the seat down, we complain to them about leaving the seat up, but they NEVER complain about us leaving the seat down!!! and that's the way we use the restroom, so should we keep on complaining?

Yes, because we use the toilet with the seat down all the time. men only use the toilet with the seat up part of the time. We're helping them too.

You should look before you sit down in the first place. Why would you seat your bare butt somewhere before looking. I mean you look at a seat in a restaurant. You look at a chair at home even. It's natural to look before you sit even with clothes on. Why not the toilet bare assed. I mean, what's so hard about putting the seat down, before you sit down. Why complain?

Obviously you haven't woken up in the middle of the night; stumbled into the dark bathroom and gotten the not so pleasant surprise of falling basically into the toilet - nice... seat up - cover open - no surprises!
It really only takes 2 seconds to put it down. Sometimes I think its just done on purpose just because they can! :P

Leave it like you found it. If you found the seat down (I'm speaking to the men), put it back down when you are finished with your 'business'. Have you noticed, when men do the #2, they don't leave it up?

well in my family, we always had to put the seat down because my mother was blind. It is not a big deal to me. But it can be an inconvenience to some.

because it sucks when we are the last one to use it at night before bed. Only to get up in the middle of the night to use it and the damned seat is up and we end up w/a wet assss. thats why!!!

I don't complain to them about it, because I really don't care. It isn't going to hurt me to put the lid back down.
