To me these scum bags have no place. They should send ALL of them to an Island and let them rape and abuse each other....I would not work in the same place as they do, and I would let all my co-workers know about this....I think once an abuser always a abuser. The system does not rehabilitate these people.
Be safe and protect yourself, friends, family

Should a criminal never be allowed to work again? I guess we could raise taxes and provide for their needs for the rest of their lives. Or maybe risk them living on the streets and turning to other crimes to meet even tha basic of needs of food and clothing.
If we were all judged by our past deeds we would all be in a world of hurt. Everyone has made mistakes and I'm sure even most of us has committed even the least of crimes but just didn't get caught. Imagine if we all knew each others dirty little secrets.
I believe what is important here is how his behavoir is now on the job. You can always choose not to socialize with him. We don't have to like our co-workers but we should all be adult enough to give them the same basic respect as a human being as we want others to give even our non-perfect selves.
Given the fact that our justice system is faulty enough to let murders go free isn't it reasonable to believe we also have innocent people being convicted? Anyone can holler rape. Even those who had sex willingly and later got mad because she felt used or lied to so she hollered rape. I am willing to bet this happens more times than I would want to believe. Maybe I am wrong and I hope I am but how can it be proven? The DNA is there because of willful sex, there is no sign of forced entry because not all victims fight their abuser so it's a matter of one person's word over the other.
I have even heard of one incident where the rapist got off because the victim asked him to wear a condom. She cared more about her life than to fight him off and cared enough about her life to ask for a condom so therefor it must have been willing right??? Our justice system is a bit out of wacked.

OK LETS SAY YOU AREA SEX OFFENDER and get caught. you do time and get out of jail. or you go to a mental hospital to help with your problem and work your way through it. You are STILL a sex offender for life. That is not right. Are you a christian? christian religion claims Jesus died on the cross to forgive us of our sins. If you stole a car when you were 19 and served a 3 yr sentence for it should you not be allowed to drive when you are in your thirties? If they do a crime and do the time IT IS OVER!!! If they get out of jail apparently they are not guilty anymore or per say....paid their debt to society. One final thought... If the Factory is in a third world country where child labor is rampant....NO, don't hire an ex sex offender! Wal_Mart has sweat shop labor in China and elsewhere. How do you think they can sell for less?

yes it is ok for almost any place to hire a sex offender, there may be limits (depending on the state and the crime) they can't work in schools, day cares, and in some jobs with medicare and the such. You of course do have the right to let your feelings be known to the management

If he is not in violation of his probation (usually it says he cannot live or work within a certain distance from children if he is a pedophile), then he is allowed to be hired.
If his crime is against women, has not gotten help and is seeing a counselor, no guarantee he won't do it again.
Personally, I wouldn't want to work with someone like that.
I would complain to my supervisor and get the other women to do so too. You shouldn't have to have a rapist amoung you, I think that is threatening to any woman in the factory.

If you don't like working with the person, you can leave and work somewhere else.
If the guy has done his time, and is out of prison now, then he was deamed not being a threat to society. You can't continue to punish someone that has served his sentence and paid the price the courts and law have stated he must pay.
I don't like them either, but you can't violate his civil rights because you don't like him. Where is the fairness in that?
Besides - it's illegal for an employer to discriminate against him for his past felonies. The only way they could is if it directly related to the job he was applying for (he stole money, and was applying for a job as a bank teller). Unless he was going to work in a massage parlor with naked women, then he can't have the previous offense held against him.

Of course its OK.
In fact its probably better than not hiring him. Is he more or less likely to offend again if he is working, or if he has nothing to do.
Also we have to bear in mind that many sex offenders are found guilty in very unusual circumstances. Look at Mike Tyson for example

The situations of his sexual offense would not ensue on a organization history examine. it would want to easily say that he develop right into a sex criminal, or develop into charged with a element sexual misconduct/statutory rape. Which i might want to employ relies upon fullyyt on what the interest develop into. i'd not employ a sex criminal to assist run a daycare. i'd not employ someone with an armed robbery conviction to be a monetary business organization teller.

In most cases, it is legal.
However, you risk lawsuits if you knowingly hire a sex offender and he commits an sexual offense (or sexual harrassment) against a coworker.
