Yes without it you would not have known the happiness that the love brought no matter how long it lasted. You also didn't know that it wouldn't work out because the next one just might be the one that works out for you

yes it is better to have had love, b/c what is life w/o love. think about how your life would be if you never knew love, it is a very important part of a normal personality. it is (in my opinion) just as important to know love as it is to smile.
