Need clarification. Do you mean you have never in your life had a period? Or do you mean that you've missed it this month.

Missing it for a month (besides being pregnant) can be caused by stress, lots of exercise, or MANY other reasons.

Some women have never had a period - this is called primary amenorrhoea and is very rare. Primary amenorrhoea is usually due to a genetic or physical abnormality. If a young woman has not had a period by the time she is 16 it is important that she sees a doctor to make sure there are no medical problems delaying the period.

Either way, it's a good time to see a doctor.

You def. need to contact your local Dr. If you do not have ins. you could go to planned parenthood. You need to get a pap smear. I am not saying it is something bad, but you need checked. You could be lacking hormones. Your body could be lacking the female hormone estrogen. You could have endometriosis. You could have cancer. You also could have gone threw menopause at an Early age. There are several more possibilities. The first thing that needs to be done is you def. need to see a Dr. It could be something really simple. For me it was my body was lacking estrogen, and the Dr. put me on birth control, which started me having regular periods.

There are a whole host of possible reasons why. Have you asked your family doctor this?

Possible reasons include hormonal abnormalities, genetic abnormalities, or just general nutrition (are you thin?).

It's impossible to answer based on a single sentence question. But I do suggest you check it out with your doctor.
