They were going to call it a 'data transfer system by which you are able to access our products without the need for a transfer of funds' but that didn't really roll off the old tounge so they just flaked and decided to stay with the old standby, 'account'.
It mostly only confuses bankers and CEOs.

It's called account because they count all your answers and take account of your axcess codes and bank # for their files! It says so at the yahoo disclaimer at bottom of page.
