First I sugest you DO NOT enter your registry.... If you mess up you can realy screw up your computer. I sugest you download SpyBot Search & Destroy.... It will enter and scan the registry for you.... I tend to use it a lot and it has an active moniter it can install. Please note that a keystroke logger is not a virus so althogh I like symantec prodects it WILL NOT help. Using Firefox could help but firefox also has viruses.... I recomend you clean your computer before you get firefox so that you don't get an infected installation. Please note that viruses also are caught through emails. Keyloggers are ethier put in by crackers (hackers program, crackers crack the programs), by a website, or by acident...

If you suspect it was a hacker I sugest you get a firewall... you can get a quality one from zonelabs.com download their free one. you can also test your security by going to grc.com and using there shields up utility.

A key logger is spyware and needs a spyware scanner.

Most keystroke programs are run at the STARTUP.

Start -> run -> (type) MSCONFIG. At the startup tab, you will see all programs which run at startup. Uncheck programs which seem likely suspicious. When you reboot and still check marked, the program is PERSISTING... and candidate to be: (1) spy (2) virus.

Check also programs installed in Control Panel -> ADD/REMOVE programs.

hi, perhaps you can try Norton to remove the virus and protect your PC. but you need to pay for the software

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.
