My former best friend has screwed me over on numerous times. I am a Christian so I keep on forgiving him and he knows that. I am so sick of letting him take advantage of my kindness though. So this weekend he is coming to town and we jave not talked in months. i actually have no desire to speak to him, but all of my friends are telling me to "be the bigger man". I just really don't want ot have anything to do with him. So this is the ?, WWJD?? Seriously, at somepoint you have to say enough is enough right?? I can't allow myself to be a constant victim to this person anymore. I refuse to let him back in my life in any capacity. I am wrong for doing this?

No! Absolutely not!! I can't tell you the number of times I've been screwed over by a "best friend". In fact, I went to jail because of the last "best friend" I had. Yes, Christianity teaches you to forgive those around you but what does it say about avoiding others for your own sanity? You can forgive him for what he's done to you, but that doesn't mean that you have to continue the relationship, and if your friends are telling you to "be the bigger man" then let them hang out with him. Trust me! Sometimes it's just better to cut ties with someone then to continue being taken advantage of at your expense.

You can choose to keep turning the other cheek, or you can quit putting yourself in the position of being taken advantage of. I don't think its wrong to not want him to be a part of your life, but i think it would be wrong to turn your back on him if he seriously needed a hand. And i dont mean a handout. Do not let him use you again

With some people if you give them an olive branch, they will hit you over the head with it.What you need to ask your self is would God want you to keep letting some one treat you bad? There is a saying screw me once shame on you screw me twice shame on me.Just remember that.

No, I don't think you are wrong. Enough IS enough. He is trying to take you kindness for a weakness.
