i have 1976 dodge truck b300 5.9l 360 v8, i need connecting rods and connecting rod bearings but no auto parts store that i have called can get them, i heard that you can only get them from dodge dealers but since its a 76 i wont be able to get them from there either, any mechianics out there that nows of cheap, places online that you can order these from except from ebay, wont buy them from there. thankz

The guys at the local auto parts store weren't even trying - these motors have been on the market all the way through the '90s. A good auto parts store like NAPA ought to be able to get them. And the dealer will probably have them in stock.

Have you went to jegs or Jegs.com or summit.com if you have no luck at these web site try northernauto.com. most rod bearing are mad but clevite or federal mogul most good speed shop can get rod bearing and connecting rod Any thing even if they have got to mach it with other parts

do you have the original rods? If so you can have a reputal machine shop recondition them. as far as the bearings...have the crank turned and buy the appropriate bearings for the application.

Ask your local auto parts supplier for an engine rebuilder in your area. You can "google" Jasper Engines too.
