What do you generally label white people as?

My boyfriend is black and we're very honest with each other. He says he generally labels most white people as untrustworthy, like the kind've people that smile in your face and then stab you in the back. Does the rest of the world view us like this in general? Please be honest, I won't get offended. This question isn't meant to offend anyone of any race.

i don't trust white people at all...the white people i've known have been deceptive or backstabbers not all white people but the ones who lives in neighborhoods with the majority blacks and hispanic they act like their not even white and that's stupid to me i don't have a problem with white people it's just too many sterotypes out there

Personally I think everybody labels everybody. As a black women I even label my own kind; You have your ghetto black girls and your classy black girls. As far as why people go being that I have a few friends I label some of them as; the stuck and snobby white people & the cool and trippin' white people. But of all of the white people that I know and that I am friends with, I feel as though I can trust them. Maybe your boyfriend just had a bad experience with a white person. Also, all types of people can be untrustworthy, not just white people.

If he thinks whites are untrustworthy. Then why is he interested in being with you. If you're white and therefore untrustworthy ? If whites are so untrustworthy.Then,why is it that when some relief aid or money is sent to Africa.It never solves the problem it was intended to solve and the problem of famine and poverty never goes away ? Even after over 100 years of European and Euro-American missionary volunteer work and Charity help from so called untrustworthy whites . Who have single handedly kept the blacks alive.So that they can call whites untrustworthy by them. Maybe it has to do with the highly moral blacks who buy luxury cars,jets,homes and small armies with the money sent to help the poor blacks. These guys know the stupid whites will just keep sending more of their own money and resources. And if they dont.Then the whites are evil racists. For caring more about their own white children's future than the blacks children's future.

I am half white/half mexican...
My opinion is that this really can not be answered as a "generic" answer..
meaning, that it depends on who you ask the question to (individually), what social class the person is in...(what someone in the poorer areas may feel about whites will inevitably vary from how someone in the upper class may feel about whites.)...and it also depends on whether or not the person being asked has been personally affected/offended by someone who is white, which would definately influence how they would answer...
I personally feel that , in my social class , (middle) the whites are pretty evened out as far as snobby and untrustworthiness....as to caring and trusting.....more correctly, every race has it's good eggs and bad eggs...it's how we choose to handle the encounters we have with others that either keeps us above the "bad egg group". ....When we lower ourselves to those who hurt eachother, we inadvertantly become one. (regardless of race)

Why do people generally label black people as dumb @SS's?
Why do people generally label Chinese or Asian people the smartest in the United States? When some Asians and some Chinese people are as dumb as posted stamps.
Huh? We just really need to stop using this whole race labeling thing, because that whole labeling thing is keeping these stupid stereotypes alive. Do you think?!

I'm a little surprised at that one, though there are some white people who are very untrustworthy, it sure goes for all races. I mean, I don't assume all blacks are part of the Nigerian scam(which is disgustingly untrustworthy). I guess I just see us as people, just like blacks, chinese, Mexicans, East Indians....

Your boyfriend has problems. Has he not learnt the destructiveness of generalizing? Then he is a lucky man.

White people are just people. Like everyone else. There are liars, cheats, sickos, criminals etc. in every single race on the planet. What does he say when ignorant people call most black people drug dealers, or pimps? It is just as ridiculous as his opinions of white people.

I honestly think that minorities have been put down so badly years after years that we do grow up kinda of doing the same thing. I dont consider myself racist BUT seems to me white ppl are always out to put me down either for being a young mother or for teaching my children my native language. Now Im not expection the School system to teach them english I do this too. But there are so many steriotypes of every race n religion out there that it aint even funny

well I am white and my husband is black and he feels the same way about alot of them. He has to really get to know someone before he trusts them. BUT, we have always gotten along great. AND we have alot of white friends that he knew before I did. PLUS he is wary towards people of other races too. But you should have an open conversation about it with your bf if you really think he feels that strongly about it. You want to make sure that won't affect your relationship in the long run.

I see them as I see every other race...some are bad, some are good. I choose to stay away from the bad. Weather that be, black, white, asian, Indian, etc.etc. I don't group a person in a cultural group, because there are alot of things that blacks do that I don't want to be sterotyped as being.

I don't like when anyone generalizes about any group of people. Are all whites untrustworthy? Are all blacks lazy and on welfare (just an example - not my opinion)? Are all Christians pushy? Are all Muslims terrorists (again - just an example)? We cannot judge an entire group based on the behaviors or mistakes of a few select people.
