Who was your favorite American Idol 5 contestant? Why were they your favorite? How did you feel when they got eliminated? {excluding Taylor Hicks} well, my 2 favorites were Chris Daughtry and Melissa Mcghee so yeah....

I really like Chris too...it sucked when he left...I honestly didn't watch much after that.

I was (and still am) a HUGE Elliott Yamin fan. I love his rich, smooth, vibrato. Just a beautiful voice and a sweet personality. I was sooooo sad when he got eliminated, but I thought that it was probably inevitable because he didn't get as much screen time as the others, and it seemed like the producers didn't want him to win. I don't think they thought he was as commercial as, say, Katherine. Of course, Taylor doesn't seem all that commercial, either, but I think the producers probably thought that America would be outraged if Kat won (even though she is talented, too). I thought Chris was terrific too, though my musical taste is more R&B like Elliott than rock.
Can't wait for Elliott's new single to come out in January...;)

Chris Daughtry my total fav! Besides the fact that he is hot and sweet (in real life met him in charlotte and ace too! hopefully will meet them both tomorrow in Syracuse :) WOOT WOOT:)
anyways loved Ace too cause he is hot and totally can sing :)
Chris can rock let me tell you :)
anyways Chris is better off not winning since 4th is the new first :)

my favorites were Elliot and Chris because these two should have been the top two instead of third and fourth
