Do you listen for great, creative, deep lyrics or just crave the beat?

And what band is your favorite right now? Is it for lyrics or beat and if lyrics, what is the best line?

Mine has always been lyrics...

My favorite is Stone Temple Pilots and the line is;

"Conversations-kill." Get it now? I THink he is just so clever!

and Fall Out Boy is incredible too!

Because the beat, that is the difference between the bands and singers, but sometimes both reasons: there are few bands whom got the lyrics and beat.

I like the beat and the lyrics, if those two go together really good then I'm sold.

Mainly I like the beat though like DJ Teisto or DJ Eror 404
and for lyrics, well... it's pretty much anything with a good message, linkin park, guns n roses....

I like both, lyrics and the beat. I'm a rocker. I like Aerosmith and the Rolling Stones for starters.

I crave the beat that's really the first thing that get me before the band gets a chance to say anything

Lyrics. They're tons of unorginal bands with unoriginal yet catchy beats. But it takes real talent to write beautiful moving lyrics. :)
