You can do it, in fact not too long ago I saw a story about a color blind artist on tv and some of his pieces were selling for like 10,000 dollars. I don't remember his name but he makes his pictures from license plates maybe you can try to look him up

Well, they say if you are color blind, you can not distinguish between your reds and greens.
If you are okay with that and you still want to be an artist, why not? You don't have to create things using every hue on the colorwheel.
