forgot to say i got the 6 cyclinder no the 4 banger

its built in to the computer on it,you cant take them off,,you can order a performance computer for it,,there pretty expensive though,,but it cant be removed from it,,i own a repair shop,,and i owned a few probes before,,good luck with it,,i hope this help,s.

I have had two Probes and its usually the distributor that fails its a Mazda part .if it wont start thats the prob hope this helps

Easy to take off, buy a Hypertech or different computer chip, will elimate the govenor.

i have not heard of them "burning out". they are computer controlled items..the rev limiter is built into the computer control program. there are some after market performance chips avaible . not sure if there is one for your car or not .. go surfing and have a blast on the net.
