If you have had your phone for less than one year, you should still be under the warranty. If this is the case, and your phone has no physical or water damage, you can get your phone replaced for the same or similar phone at no cost. If you have had your phone for more than one year but less than 2 years, you might be able to get a replacement for $50 (same or similar) as long as there is no water or physical damage. If you have had your phone for more than 2 years, you should be eligible for an upgrade and you will be able to get a discount on or even a free phone. If your phone has physical or water damage, this voids the warranty and it cannot be replaced for free or for the $50. However, if you have insurance, you can call the insurance company and they can replace it for you for $50.

If the Verizon wireless mobile corp. Sales team hesitates or refuses to help you cancel your remaining contract time with them then in their store tell them your are switching to a competitor, in my area the competitor's that you could switch to are Sprint-Nextel, CricKet, Cingular, Tmobile, in the contract phone market or the prepaid carriers you could try are Boost mobile, Tracfone, net10, Jump mobile, cingular pay as you GO phone, or If you have a land-line sometimes you can depending on different factors add a mobile phone to the land-line service package.
Side Note: Some of the carriers I named above may not be available in your area, and some carriers in your area are not available in mine. As such before you make a permanent decision to ditch Verizon mobile research the competition so you can get the best deal for you.
Good luck I hope my post contains helpful information.

What happens depends on when your plan is up. If you had a two-year plan, after 22 months you are eligible for a new phone (or money toward one, if it costs more than your old one I think?). If you are in the middle of a plan, they'll probably tell you that you can just buy a new phone. If your phone is under warranty (don't know how long those are), then maybe they will give you a replacement phone for free. It just depends on the age of your phone, I guess, and your plan.

Take it to a VW center and let a tech see what is the problem. It could be a battery or like most of my issues were software related. The tech put it on a machine and voila! It was back working. If your phone remains intact and is not physically broken into pieces, if the tech cannot fix it, they will replace it right then and there. If I remember correctly there is a $50 replacement fee. If it is broken, then hopefully you have insurance, who will have to send one out to you. Hope this helps...

Just try and take it into a verizon store and see what they say. They will be able to tell you if it can be repaired or not.
