Stupid people that leave them on disturb class. I have had my cell phone since the eighth grade, and carried it with me in my pocket to class everyday since. My cell has not once gone off in class.

Pros and cons:
One advantage of having cell phones is that you have access to emergency situations, or if your car gets stalled on the side of the road. But sometimes, with cell phones in many peoples hands, we kind of feel like big brother is watching, and if we do anything wrong then someone is going to use their cell phone to call the police. But this should actually be an encouragement for us.
It could be a great advantage if a person is stuck on the side of the road and doesn't have a cell phone, and you call them in. A few years back, we wish we would have had a cell phone, because we got cut off by a huge semi-truck driving in the wrong lane. The officer I reported it to later said, Did you get the license plate number? No, I didn't get the plate number, it shook me up too bad.
Here's a cell phone driving advantage, or, why driving with a cell phone is good. With the strange activities going on lately, it is definitely a relief to be able to immediately report something that seems unusual. So, as you can see there are some advantages of having a cell phone while driving. But please, it's best to keep your personal conversations for a time when you're not driving. It would make us all feel a lot better and safer.

If they do disturb class put your phone on vibrate or silent and then hold it in your hand so when it lights up you can see when someone is calling without that annoying loud ringtone disturbing everyone.. another good thing is that you can call people! but be careful because you might go over your minutes and Ka-ching the phone company gains money! it can also keep you in touch with family and friends also with your work! cell phones are stylish and you can personalize your phone so it screams, "you!"

I don't think there are any cons to having a cell phone. They wouldn't disturb class if you put it on "silent". I don't even have a home phone anymore, i just use my cell.

Pro - used in an emergency, for example to ring for an ambulance in a place where no other telephone is available
Con - Not enough research has been done about the long term effect on brain hemorrhage and ear diseases arising from its use
Good enough for your homework?

Pro: get help while on the road and being able to talk on the move.
Con: You get called during times you're away. And yes, they are annoying in class, but those are the stupid people.
