Tabi & Erica - I totally know what you are talking about LOL but that is not it That Gene Wilder song was something about 'pure imagination' I think.

Not sure but the first thing that popped into my head was the little ditty that Willy Wonka (Gene Wilder) sang on the boat ride in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory movie.

OK, found out where it is really from...
"Off we go, step inside, soaring on a magic ride, rolling to the other side, where only rainbows hide...". It was from an old show The Great Space Coaster. Here's a link where they actually show the intro with the song:

i would agree with the person who said willy wonka and the chocolate factory..... then i thought, maybne it was from the doors?? or that song, magic carpet ride?? I think it was from WW&TCF, though!
