on a wrist watch. I don't care how rich you are. I was looking at my new TIME issue on fashion and saw some ridulously priced fashion peices in it. Even if I was Bill Gates' wife I would balk at that price and know that I could buy one for $300.00 or even $60.00 and give what I didn't spend on the $25,000.00 watch to someone or some group that really could use it. I can not believe that some people really pay for these items that are just material possessions- they cant take with them when they leave this earth. What do you think about things like $1,500.00 handbags, $800.00 shoes- seriously. I'd rather have just necessities and know that I could help someone who can't afford 3 meals a day. A pair of jeans from Target can look just as good onyou as a pair that some designer form NY is selling for $2000.00 with a name on it.

I think so, I mean its just a watch. The only reason it was invented was to tell time, not be made in too some probaly solid gold watch with diamonmds and everything.

It must then be one hell of a wrist watch...you have to ask yourself about jewelry then too, because they can both be considered heirlooms (I mean, at that price, I better have my great great great great great grandchild wear it and use it as a heirloom until that watch disintegrates itself back to dust).
Of course, it's better and more rewarding to help others with money instead of wasting it by buying luxury products but we are not all saints and from time to time, we will want a nice pair of shoes, or bag or an ipod...and for others, they will want to conquer the world. Besides, your 15$ jeans at Target was probably made by children from some poor third world country but an italian pair of designer jeans, maybe not.
So, I try to do my best, recycle when I can, be sensible about causes (helping children learn or giving to charity), help family and friends, and yes, from time to time, I will indulge in a few things that are not necessities.
I guess the best way is to keep a balance in your life and keep yourself well informed.

By the way, my friend often says too that by not buying that 15$ pair of jeans from Target or Wal-Mart, you are depriving a small child somewhere in the world his 15$ for him to bring back to his family! =P

all people who says "you're actually not the terrific till you circulate to the WWE" is a f*cking fool. i will call fairly some wrestlers interior the international not in WWE that are 10x greater valuable than over a million/2 of the WWE roster appropriate now. Austin Aries, Chris Hero, Davey Richards, KENTA, Kota Ibushi, Shingo, AJ types, Samoa Joe, Desmond Wolfe, Christopher Daniels, homicide, Mistico, Motor city gadget weapons, The Briscoes, youthful greenbacks/era Me, Dragon infant, Colt Cabana, etc.. Can all people quite say with a right this moment face say that the WWE roster is excellent? Can all people quite say that a roster with Sheamus, The Miz, great Khali, David Otunga, Vladimir Kozlov, Mark Henry, Hornswoggle, John Cena and Randy Orton is excellent? i don't care in the event that they have Chris Jericho, area and CM Punk, the WWE roster appropriate now as an entire is honestly unfavorable. WWE isn't the terrific merchandising interior the international and that i don't understand how all people ought to declare they're. WWE has various the worst wrestlers interior the international appropriate now (great Khali and Mark Henry are 2 examples). and to not point out the reality that WWE does not care with regard to the midcard titles. that's a shame what the IC call, the Tag group titles, and the U.S. call have become over the final 5 years. they're in certainty meaningless. WWE marks/fanboys grants me as many thumbs down's as they pick yet i don't provide a sh*t. BQ: confusing to confirm on considering that they're all great tag communities, yet i think of i visit circulate with the The Briscoes.

There's a book called The Millionaire Next Door that talks about this. There's a difference between being wealthy and spending money on silly things.

No way. I am totally rich and I love treating myself to useless things. Sometimes I go and buy food and then urinate on it in front of poor people. Why just last week I went and purchased a 55 gallon drum of children's polio vaccine and washed my Ferrari with it. It ate the paint away, so I just went and bought another one and had the old one crushed. I have never worn the same thing twice. I wear all new clothes every day and have them burned by my servant Jamaal after he undresses me. I also have all my bedding, including the mattress, burned every night. My clothing and bedding is all handmade by little children from some island who are trained from birth to make what I need. If you get them working 14 hour days early on, they get used to it much easier.

Well, Jamaal looks like he's tired of typing, so I guess I'll sign off now. It's time for him to give me my daily brazillian wax after I poop. FU Poor people!

Well I like the finer things in life but I would never spend that much money on just a watch. And truthfully I think the rich don't spend that either. You don't get rich by spending that much money on frivolous stuff. You truly get rich by saving your money and making it grow now blowing it like water.

With all due respect, there's people who work on the watches who get that money. It's not the same as giving it to charity, but people ARE getting your money. It's easy to think the money disappears, but it doesn't. Who says the watch company president doesn't donate to charity?
