Torres is definitely one of Spain's best player. But rating him as Spain's next best player would be tough.
He needs the experience of playing tougher away ties like Turkey or some African country where the defence is highly physical and he might get into trouble.
I think the best way to rate a player is to guage him on his consistency and the number of goals and assists in international matches.
All good domestic players are not good international players.
I hope he plays in the english premiership soon...he needs that experience.

Fernando Torres had been great in domestic league and also play so well internationally. He is already one of spain best player at the moment, many had predicted that he'll be the next marco van basten.
Yes, not just you and me but a lot of other people were impressed by him. (including alex ferguson, who try to bring him to old trafford after Ruud Van nistelroy moved to real madrid).
The other hot properties of spanish football team would be joachim, cesc fabregas, and Andres Iniesta. They are still young and improving.

Move aside Raul! Torres rocks! But he's not as consistent as David Villa at the moment. Still young, haven't reached his peak yet.

Ya, he's young and he's going to earn more experience in the future. But I'm concerned about Joaquin, he barely even played in the WC. He's one of my favorite wingers, and he is one of Spain's very best.
