Just because you think differently than me, or have views that I dont agree with. That doesnt make you wrong, and I know it. But why all the hate? Conservative vs liberals, christian vs atheist. I think we are all right, in the fact that we have a choice. My question is, if you have been offensive to someone elses beliefs, why were you? If you agree with me, you can state so as well.

I agree with you, sometimes people just talk or discuss about their beliefs but when people start really arguing or fighting about those things , they are not mature enough or maybe they just don't understand that the most important thing is what they believe and not what other people think or if they don't have the same thoughts...Some people only feel good when people think the same they don't feel comfortable with other people´s opinions because it not theirs.....

I probably have been mean to an atheist or two. I did it because I felt my blood boil. Wondering how these peoples parents let their kids go through life without caring about the creator? But it happens obviously. As strongly as I believe in the creator, others don't. And as much as it pains me to be witnessing people who may not make it into heaven when they die because they have no deep regrets on a spiritual level I guess I still find it hard to sit back and watch them suffer like a cat on the side of the road. We're all people and people should look out for their own kind. That's just how I feel about it. I'm sorry if you think I'm crazy.

Winston Churchill once said. "If you are not a liberal when in your twenties - you have no heart...but if you are not a conservative at the age of 40 - you have no brains." As I see it, there are only so many axioms in life that require no proof;argument;deliberation..etc. All other things are a matter of what is relative to each individual as life passes their way. It is unfortunate that we have become more subjective than objective. It is almost as though what is on /in our minds is trying to supercede sunlight ( the original bright idea). It's true, without sunlight -- nothing grows properly/dies. Too many opinions make the world cloudy. Let's get back to the basics

Some belief systems have 'hatred of the unbeliever' built in -- it's almost a requirement for people who have that belief. And it is easier to jump up and down and scream at each other than to think and possibly even question that hatred.

I agree that it is very disheartening, which is why I rarely read the religion/spirituality questions anymore. It's a shame, because it's a topic I would love to discuss if people could behave in a mature, civil manner.

Only God can see in the hearts of men regardless of their religious origin or belief and only HE will judge them according to their faith. How he will judge is not for us to know or be concerned with. Atonement was given to us through Jesus b/c we are all sinners. The OT and the NT give laws to us created in God's image to be loving creatures to have compassion to our fellow man. RELIGION often gets in the way of God. RELIGION causes wars. RELIGION spurs heated debate and ungodly emotions and words. If we focus on the moral laws given in the OT and the NT we would become less judgemental of other religions and live in PEACE instead of trying to prove other religions as false or lacking in thorough evidence, the most insightful and Godly way to be irrespective of being Jewish, Muslim, Christian etc...is to follow love as being supreme and God will see that in our hearts and be glad. We should stop trying to dissect every religion, in a hundred years or so or millenia to come there will be more religions but only ONE message.

I think we voice our opinions because we are deeply concerned about how our environment is affected. Ultimately, our environment is our home...so we have to have some hand in shaping it. Getting your opinion out there helps everyone in being able to live with you as well as you living with them. Arguments lead to "resolution" in most cases. We get along better in the aftermath. It's the strange dynamics of "life" itself. We see it in nature also. Embrace it. Understand it. It isn't all about hate. Have a nice day! :)
