He is addicted to video games, and as with all addictions it takes precedence over most all other things in his life. Your talks and rantings and ravings are considered to be a small price for him to have to pay, to keep his addiction; just as not having any heat in a home might be a small price to pay for a drug addiction. And the more miserable the price becomes to pay, the more they desire that which makes them the happiest.
What would you do if he was addicted to drugs, and you wanted to help him? You would seek counseling, right? And if he wants to save the relationship, he will have to give up his addiction. For you will not tolerate it forever, and things will only get increasingly more upsetting for both of you. He must see the light of day, and what his addiction may cost him, from a non-biased, qualified third party's point of view. For unless he realizes his need to give up that addiction, nothing anyone says or does is likely to change his mind; at least not, until it is already too late to possibly save what he might suddenly then realize was worth far more to him than his addiction allowed him to see. He needs help.

You should've watched out for all that when you were just friends. If the guy doesn't respect you before you get into the relationship, or deeper into it, how can you expect him to now? Not saying you deserve the way he's treating you, but I wouldn't have dated him knowing what kind of person he is.

Throw the video game in the trash. Worst case scenario, he's a kid and don't know how to treat a lady. If you leave him, he won't notice because his video game is like a new car. It's like that.

What are you waiting around for? Go out if you want to! I would think if you weren't relying on him for entertainment, he might be more interested in going out and having fun. Right now, he's probably feeling stuck with you.

Leave him, if he notices that you're gone maybe he'll ask you why. he does not seem to love or respect you. I'm sorry for you. You are wasting your time and your life on this toad. Move on.

Your "man?" As in a non-husband that's living with you? That could be your problem right there.
