The author wrote to inform because the lazy student did not want to do his homework. The author desired to earn two points initially, but secretly wanted to earn the possible ten points if his answer was voted, "Best Answer." I am not sure why the author sat at his dimly lit computer and typed out a response to this seemingly futile question because many answers get voted, "No Best Answer," in which no answerer receives extra points. Yet, this author relentless typed a half page answer in anticipation the asker would not fail him. Finally, the author quipped, "To inform is to receive." Do not let me down, I would appreciate the ten points.

Obviously, I am writing about the Yahoo! Answer page, and in this course of the paragraph one learns how points are earned.
