I don't think you can change a true, dyed in the wool liberal. It is a mental disorder.

Marching proudly into fascism.
2.. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights – Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people tend to ‘look the other way’ of even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.
3.. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause – The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe; racial, ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists; terrorists, etc.
7.. Obsession with National Security – Fear is used as a motivation tool by the government over the masses.

If Bush was to torture terrorists, that would be great.
He's the biggest terrorist, and a few months in Guantamo would do him good, as well as making the world a safer place.

Sure- as a beacon of freedom in the world, we should set the standard for how we treat people. Our god-fearing, wonderfully religious president is in support of torture? Amazing how foolish this man is.
None of this makes any sense.

Amazing logic! And it's amazing that a president who claims to be a Christian is asking for more power to torture people.
