my name is chris and im 16 years old im 5 foot 10 inches tall and 139 pounds and i can throw 82 mph tell me if this is like really rare because idk how from last year to this year i can jump 18 mph

Big difference between having the ball leave your hand at 82MPH and throwing and 82MPH pitch, which is it? If a ball leaves your hand at 82MPH it would travel 307.5ft(if thrown at a 35 degree upward angle "with no wind") an 82MPH pitch would have to leave your hand at 86MPH and would cross the plate at 78MPH, and would have traveled 322.5ft...
Easy enough to find out exactly how "fast" you can throw a baseball....Go to a football field, throw just as if you were pitching, take ONE step and throw...The ball has to leave your hand at a certain velocity to travel a certain distance, simple physics...300ft=80MPH - 337.5ft=90MPH - 375ft=100MPH ...the average ML fastball slows down from the pitchers hand to home about 8MPH...

each person is different. i knew kids throwing low mid 80's at 16. others stayed in the 70 - 75 range. they were not used much.

82mph is good for your age but im not realy sure how fast i can throw and im 23 so i would say cool.
i would luv to bat against uhavent played baseball in a long time
