She never has any good things to say to the designers no matter what they do.

Exactly! Since American Idol...most shows have 3 judges...one of whom happens to be a Simon Cowell type of person. It's all so very played out. They should try to do something original. It's getting very old very fast.

I saw Nina, Heidi, and Tim on a TV interview, and Nina said that she's actually not that mean in real life, they just edit what she says to make her look harsher. Like others said, it keeps the show interesting. It's also more honest. I mean, like in American Idol, Paula is obviously a sweet and caring judge, but who respects her opinion? Not me, if I think that all she does is say sweet things to not hurt other people's feelings.

Nina also added that while some of her comments might seem a bit harsh, that the designers will face much harsher critics when they are designing in the "real world".

No that not true. She does say good things about the designers but she is tough. Every reality show must a the bad guy and I guess Nina is it but she can be nice though.
