Both countries are developed countries.For education,America is more better than Australia because most of university in America stand as the best university in the world.So i think America has the better standard of living.

According to this link I found the quality of living for Australia was higher than the US. But then this other link here as the US ahead of Australia based on economics.

Better in an economical sense, the USA
Better in an all encompassing sense, Australia
By that I mean, Australians do great with less than
American´s, have more government support and
programs, but have a heck of a lot more fun than
we do. They are happier, healthier people, and that
has no price to it!

they are actually very similar but i would think that america has a better global economic relations with other countries that would put america ahead of austrailia

as the other guy said more wleath less poverty and there more persentage of fat pople in a america so bascialy all the rich people in america waste money on food
