I doesn't say "this man is my fathers son". It says "this mans FATHER is my fathers son"

Good job Pinky.You got it!
To break this riddle down you have to start at the end.
"my fathers son".If you are a man with no brothers and sisters then who is your fathers son???
You are.
So you can replace the last half of the riddle with the word ME.
Now it reads."This mans father is ME"
This man in the portrait has a father and it is me.
I am looking at my son.
