I'm leaving for a vacation in Cancun next month, and I have no idea what to wear. I'm short and curvy and looking for a swimsuit style that will make me feel comfortable without looking like a grandma. (I have genetic cellulite. I'm working out but it's not going away.) Other than a swimsuit..what else do I pack? I'm assuming it's going to be hot there and there's so many kinds of activities. How dressy are the nightclubs?
The biggest problem is that I'm an obssessive "over-packer", so I just need to know what I really should pack.

I wouldn't worry about the cellulite. Carry yourself like a hotmama and that's the only thing people (male people) will see. As for what to wear- I dunno! It's hot and summery so I'd pack only small things and nothing beats a light flowing neutral skirt and several matching tops to suddenly create a whole bunch of outfits. Sexy shoes = sexy outfits = sexy feeling!

Have fun hot mama!

Try board shorts for swimming. They are really comfortable and you can get them in a variety of lengths. I like them because they cover the butt and you dont have to worry about losing your bottoms when you are swimming. Most of the nightclubs are not too dressy. Most people are at the beach all day and throw on a little slip dress or where capris. Pretty casual environment.

Cancun is super casual. Bring a sarong you can wear as a skirt, halter dress, etc. They are cellulite's best friend. You could bring a nice pair of jeans w/several tops to change the look.

a swim suit, a lot of shorts and comfy tees, maybe one or two slip dresses if you plan on going to the clubs (most are not fashion palaces, wear what you want), comfortable shoes for sight seeing and one pair of heels. and then all your toiletries. don't forget the new airline rules if you are flying. they aren't lying when you get to security, if its liquid they will throw it out regardless of what it might be.

If your really in a naughty mood, the beaches are clothing optional. When we went my 12 year old son had a blast with all the topless locals sunbathing.

repack, pack an outfit for each day. buy swim suit there, after you see what they are wearing on the beach.wear towels and big beach shirts, it'll hide the cellulite, God made your body,be proud of it. enjoy your trip, please don't obsess. you are lucky to have an opportunity to go abroad. be happy in mexico, and don't buy any funny cigarettes...
