You should be able to go to law school; check on the website of the school you're interested in applying to. As for taking the bar exam, contact the State Bar of the state you want to practice in and/or check the Business & Professions code for that state. The code is proabably on line. If not, there are usually law libraries in the bigger urban areas that are open to the public as well as the libraries at law schools. Each state can have different rules. Some may say if it is a crime of "moral turpitude" that you can't practice; others may say no way if it's a felony. You may also be able to petition to have the charge reduced to a misdemeanor if your sentence is over (including probation/parole) and then you would be able to take the bar.

Somebody just told you "never", that may be the wrong answer. There's an exception to many situations, consult a lawyer , explain the circumstances. You may still be able to go to law school, even if its an "online law school" , whether you may get admitted to the bar is another question, but there again there are exceptions. You are not the same person today that you where when you were 15 years old. People know that, the courts know that, maybe you can get the court record "sealed" maybe you can have a post-conviction sentence vacated, give it time.....things have a way of working out.. with a law degree even if you dont get admitted to the bar, there are many administrative agencies that may let you practice before them... no bar admission needed... You should keep out of further trouble, Good Luck, keep the faith...

You will be able to find a law school willing to take your money.
If you get through law school, you can take the bar.
The question of whether or not taking the bar allows you to be a lawyer is state specific.
