I had one 10 years ago, I was very upset and it really affected me for a long time. Years later, when I really tried to conceive, I had a hard time and had 2 miscarriages, I kept thinking maybe there's the side affect for that operation, I was trying for 4 years, finally, I had a beautiful daughter, but every single day during this pregnacy I was praying to let me have the baby. It finally came true.

I counsel women with PASS and yes it can show up right away or years later. There are so many women who do not know why they feel this void or feel this pain. It is real and it hurts terribly. I am not sure if you are writing this as a PASS survivor or counsellor. But if you are suffering you can find healing. Through acknowledgement of the life lost, forgiveness of yourself and the others who helped you go through with the abortion, memorializing your baby (because it was a baby) and through helping others to not make the same mistake. So many women make the choice without all of the information. They do not know that this is a little growing person. They make a quick decision based on fear or circumstances instead of fact but realize later that termination did not fix anything. Thank you for bringing up this subject. Women need to know that there is help available and like other forms of post traumatic stress, this syndrome is real.

No, I made the right choice. Abortion saved my life and I'd do it again in a heart beat. I think a lot of post abortion stress syndrome is a lot of unfortunate bull. There are certain people out there that want to convince women that abortion is wrong or even murder. Sometimes they succeed inflicting women with overwelming feelings of guilt and loss. These people don't care about women and are out to hurt them. The so called syndrome is a disease of society and the ignorance of the 'pro-life' population. While the pain these women feel is very real there's no need to label them with a 'syndrome' as that implies it's a result of abortion or flaws in the woman not a result of social injustice. It just feeds into the whole anti-abortion/anti-woman agenda.

my first wife at my insistence comitted abortion against our first child.. It traumatized her so bad that she died barren,, I hate what i did to her. We raised her three girls, but i just never forgave myself. now i am remarried to a beautiful ProLife Christian lady and have three beautiful babies.. God hates murderers and there is a good reason He put a death sentence on murder, But there is hope in the Blood Of Jesus. He will give you peace and deliverance
