the 7.0 version is bugged it wont read my ipod so i want the 6.0.5 version, can somone please assist me in researching a site that still holds the download for it, and please dont send me to there official page or give me a website to look through, i would like some direct links.please and thank you

the websites there arent helping...when i download it and try to open it it says "fileiTunes Library.itl not found due to new version" or sumthing like that...so what do i do know

The world is discovering problems with the new iTunes. I doubt if you'll find the old version anywhere, so the best idea is to fix the current one.

There's a huge amount of activity on the apple discussion board, and a common answer coming up that seems to be helping fix this version is to delete the OSS 3D Plugin for iTunes.

Quit iTunes, find the plugin (It's in /Library -> iTunes -> Plugins) make a copy (put it somewhere safe for later in case you need it), then delete it.

Then relaunch iTunes. This seems to have worked for a lot of people. If it doesn't, check out http://discussions.apple.com to see if anyone else has the same problem.

The new iTunes 7.0 is full of problem. Better wait a couple of weeks for Apple to fix it. Then download the new version and reinstall. In order to install 6 after I removed 7, I had to manually delete all iTune files from my hard drive and all iTune entries in my regestry. Try the download below.

okay i think they new itunes is messed up it wont let me unlock my ipod and other stuff but i cn tell you how to make you be able to make the ipod icon apper..plug your ipod into the usb port > (u have to be the admin on ur comp).go to start > control panel > the administrative tools > srevices > ipod services > clikc stop > click start> and then it should be there if it isnt try the same thing again
