So, I don't have a date to homecoming but I still want to go. My friends are all either going on dates or they don't want to go at all, and I really want to go even though I don't have a date, but I didn't want to go alone, btw I'm a Jr., so I invited my is who is 3yrs younger than me to go with, but my friends don't really like her, and what if someone finds out she is my sis and so young, given she doesn’t look any younger than I do. But is this really pathetic to have her come with me. Some of my friends are defiantly going to recognize that she is my sis and I am going to be so embarrassed

So what should I do? Should I just not go? Should I just go alone? I just don't know what to do

It's not pathetic. I had a standing arrangement with a guy in my class who was gay that we would always go with each other so we would never be dateless. He was one of my best friends, and it sure took the pressure off having to find a "real" date! We had more fun together than I had with any other guy I dated in high school.

Anyway, I would go with your sister. And don't just say you're doing the girls' night out, do it. Go get your nails and hair done, go to dinner, borrow a nice car, wear flowers. You'll probably have a blast.

Have fun!

You should take your sister! LIfe moves on even when we dont have dates. Guys dont have to be the end all. A girls nite out (GNO) sounds like a great idea and you should just enjoy your evening. Your freinds might be going with dates but that doesnt always mean that they will stay that way all nite. You may have a few girls join you on your GNO before the evening is over, there might be a few that are thankful you are there to hang wih if their dates go bad. Remember to have fun and be a good friend to those who need too join your party later on.

Happy Homecoming!

After you graduate from high school, your sister will still be your sister and you probably won't hear from your friends ever again. Go, have fun, and stop worrying about what other people will think of you. Two weeks from now, I doubt anybody will even care who you went with but your sister will remember that her big sister took her to a dance.

Hmm I wouldn't want to go alone either, just tell them you and your sis are having a girls night. Or convince your friends to just do a girls night with them there. Any cousin that doesn't live around there that might want to go if they are around your age? Just an idea, good luck.

Another way is to ask your little sis if she minds shouldering the blame. If she's ok with it, then you can tell your friends that your little sis wanted to see a real homecoming party, so you brought her along.

If you really want to go just go and dont worry about not having a date. You can bring your sister if you want to but you really don't have to.
