If you are watching it on TV, there are four contestants still in the running and they have thus far said only three will advance to fashion week. The clips from next week's epidsode show Tim gunn making a big announcement.

However, because the finale has been filmed and they finalists have presented at Fashion Week, the spoiler is out -- the final four is all advancing to Fashion Week. This is the first season that has happened.

Because of the tension between broadcast schedules for the Project Runway show and real-time scheduling of Olympus Fashion Week. In Project Runway, the designers are eliminated one by one until the final four remain. The final four have several months to prepare a collection, but one is eliminated by the show before Fashion Week but still gets to show their collection (presumably because he or she did all that work, so the producers think that it would be mean not to let them show their collection after all that work).

Since the episodes that we're viewing now of Project Runway have been taped months ago, what we're seeing isn't "real-time". However, Fashion Week is real-time. If they only showed the collections of the top three designers before the episode aired where the fourth designer was eliminated, it would spoil the suspense and less people would watch that elimination episode since its ending would be a foregone conclusion. And they can't schedule Fashion Week around PR's broadcast schedule, because Fashion Week involves more designers than just those showcased on Project Runway. So what ends up happening is that four designers show their work at Fashion Week without ruining the suspense for the second to the last elimination show.

Go to Bravotv.com. Read Tim's blog. I was out-of-town and missed Wednesday's show. I read Tim's blog to find out who was kicked off. He said 2 designers kicked off previously were brought back as part of the competition (probably to "stir" things up). I think there are only 3 left now.

Because in the finally of the show they show their collections that they have created over a few months time at Olympus Fashio Week in NYC. The winner is then picked from what they show at the event. I don't know if I answered your question. Hope I cleared things up :)
