I have a rental property (house) on the Jersey Shore (NJ) and am currently trying to rent it out. What websites and/or real estate tactics would you suggest using to find a renter?

I hope that some of the answerers are NJ Realtors that way they can give you some insight on what marketing techniques have worked well for them provided for the sociological behavior of your given area. I did want to, before you did anything, to tell you to pay attention to the most overlooked area by most private landlords and that is the Landlord Tenant law of your state there you will be able to ascertain what you can and can not do regarding the tenancy that you are trying to establish. This knowledge will also show you what potential costs you might be looking forward to as required by law that you should pass somehow, if allowed, to the tenant. To that end go to:

Cheapest way is to run an ad in the newspaper.
