I've heard that it's important to choose the correct color/shape of glasses for your skin color and facial shape. I've looked around online for some help, but it's hard to decide whether my face is oval or square or whatever when it's your own face!
I have some blah pictures of my face for you all to decide...
I really need some advice!

Also, please no advice on my personal appearance other than glasses.
I know it's meant well, but I have a pretty darn low self-esteem in that area, and I'd prefer if I wasn't given eyebrow advice or anything, thanks.

Comments on color (cool vs. warm) and welcomed too!
I know it's hard to tell in the picture!
My skin is not very tan, I have real rosy cheeks, my skin is kind of yellowish pinkish.
It's almost peaches-and-cream, but my skin tone is a little more olive-y...
??

I had to go through the same thing recently when I got my first pair of specs. I know how hard it is to determine the shape of your own face.

From looking at your pictures, and specifically the second one which is a great picture for showing the lines of your face, I would have to say your face is oval. It is clearly longer than it is wide, which rules out round. Also, you don't have a tremendously square jaw, so that rules out square. Your chin has a nice taper, but so does the hairline on your forehead, so I think you are neither of the triangle shapes (point up or point down), and everything is too soft to be anything other than oval, in my eyes.

I have an oval face as well, and I went with some nice soft rectangle shaped glasses. They aren't quite straight rectangles, but they are definitely rectangular. I went with cool colored frames to complement my coloring.

Take your time when you go to select your frames. Try on a million pair so you find just the right ones. I took forever, but I am really glad I did, because I love my glasses.

You should have someone with you that you trust who is going to be totally honest with you about your looks. Trust me when I was your age anything I tried on the lady who was at the eye doctors office told me I looked great. More often than not I had frames that over powered my face and when I didnt I had frames that made my face look HUGE!!!.
Try for something that brings out of color of your eyes, and or your hair. You dont want to have the kinds of frames where it lookes like you have bug eyes. Neither do you want the kind of frames that makes you look like you are wearing glasses amde for a small kid.
Some places let you try the frames for 30 days and then exchange them if you want. I think its Lens Crafters or Pearle Vision, if there isnt one in your area, check with your Eye Dr to see if you can exchange the frames. You have to be careful though as sometimes your lenses wont fit into new frames and have to either be re-cut or you have to have new lenses altogether.

it's oval.....definetely, but seriously with all do respect you need to wax your eyebrows and you will look fantastic with OR without glasses.....seriously don't be offended you are a really pretty girl but they seriously need to be taken care of....women to women
