We have different calibre "rifles". We shoot and aim from a standing position (unlike some olympic shooting competition where they are flat on the stomach). Some are more accurate than others. Some miss the target completely hence the reason for the mess in men's public toilets! The target is a reasonable size basin that gets hosed by water regularly (the modern ones that is). Sometimes when nature calls when travelling, we just fertilise the ground around us. I believe the pee is a good fertiliser.

well, if we just gotta pee we stand up over the toilet. if we do #2, we sit then pee if we need. If we want to be quiet in the middle of the night and pee, we sit and pee.
