I have been dying my hair dark brown for years, and have tried every brand out there. I have found that even the cheap clairol stuff works just as well. The more important thing in making your hair look great is your shampoo and conditioner (I recommend Mane 'n Tail) and getting it trimmed 1/2 inch every month.

i think your best bet is actualy to go to a student salon. Most of the reputable schools have teachers that watch there students like hawks, and they'll know what there doing. Usualy it cost less than 15 dolars, and maybe an extra ten for a wash and cut, althoug sometimes thats actualy more dangerous lol. You shouldnt have to redye your hair, if your color is faiding it may be excess sun exposure, or clorieen, you should see about getting a protecting shampoo and conditioner if nothing else.

Have you tried garnier fructise? I recommend you do the hair color always stays permanent. Try dying your hair a little darker like a dark brown that will for sure stay.
