Al Gore said that to buy oil from the middle east, north America is borrowing vast amounts of money from China. WHY?

Because in less than a generation we have gone from the world's biggest creditor nation to the world's biggest debtor nation. We have been throwing billions into the Iraq war and more at the Katrina debacle, with little to show in either case. And where do you think it comes from? The Treasury is empty and God knows what they've borrowed from Social Security. Clinton left a surplus, Dubya pissed it away, and basically, China, Japan and the Middle East own us.

I don't know the oil question but I did find something out about Al Gore from the Millionaire show with Regges. (if you are interested? Maybe not... but I will share it with you.. Anyway, the old most popular movie "LOVE STORY" by Oliver (never having to say your sorry) was actually written about Al Gore... Oliver was Al Gore's college buddy and Al Gores inspired him to do this most popular movie... Pretty interesting? huh?
